Now, this blog is called Lattes and Literature… but so far I’ve only shared literature and a little bit more. So I think it’s due time for a recipe, and what better recipe to do than chocolate chip cookies? Here is my favorite recipe for everyone’s favorite cookie.
Chocolate Chip Cookies:
Ingredients –
1 cup butter (2 sticks)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla (I always add more though… it tastes so much better this way! 😉)
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups of chocolate chips (Something else I usually add way more of. More chocolate never hurt any one right?)
Pecans or other nuts. (optional)
Steps –
One: Take the cup of butter and soften it a bit in the microwave. Then combine the butter and sugars in the mixing bowl.
Two: Add in the eggs and vanilla and mix them with the butter/sugar mixture.
Three: Gradually add flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
Four: Add in chocolate chips and anything else if you so desire. These go great with pecans or peanut butter chips as well. Also, if you add a spoonful of peanut butter to the batter you get great peanut butter cookies.
And that’s it! Enjoy! 🍪😜
