Butterscotch Cookies

Hey everybody! Today I’ll be sharing with you the recipe for Butterscotch Cookies. This recipe is a fun little twist on Chocolate Chip Cookies, but equally as yummy.

Butterscotch Cookies:

Ingredients –

1 cup butter (2 sticks)

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup white sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla (I always add a little more than this.)

2 1/2 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon cloves

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

2 cups of butterscotch chips

2 cups oatmeal (optional)

Steps –

Before you do anything below, make sure to preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

One: Take the two sticks of butter and soften them a bit in the microwave. Then combine the butter and sugars in the mixing bowl.

Two: Add in the eggs and vanilla and mix them with the butter/sugar mixture.

Three: Gradually add flour, spices, baking soda, and baking powder.

Four: Add in butterscotch chips and oatmeal.

Five: Form dough into balls on a cookie sheet and place in the oven.
