Summer Began With C’s

The day began with Chopin pouring through the speakers of the car. It continued with a completion of chemistry, a final on which I’m sure I got not less than a C. Back in the car, the windows were rolled down and my chai latte was sipped. Wind swept my hair and the Chordettes crooned with Sinatra via the radio. The chai brings back memories more than half a year past – of birthdays, and fathers, and art, and Los Angeles. A year now complete. A sigh of contentment settled in my bones and I crossed the street to the library, my personal corner and citadel from the cares of the globe. Chopin, chemistry’s competition, cars, Chordettes, chai, and crossing streets. Summer has been ushered in and I cannot wait for it to begin.
